XTR® Brand toe caps are used on selected Reebok Work safety footwear to combine protective performance with extra toe room and work-shoe comfort. The exact toe-cap material, certification and additional safety features depend on the individual model.

Composite Toe Options

Selected Reebok Work styles use XTR® Brand composite toe caps. Composite toe construction is non-metallic and can help reduce weight compared with traditional steel-toe designs. Many models also use an extra-wide toe profile intended to provide additional room at the front of the shoe.

Protection Depends on the Model

Safety footwear carrying an ASTM F2413 rating is tested to the protective-footwear requirements stated for that model. Do not assume that every XTR®-equipped shoe carries the same secondary ratings: electrical hazard, static-dissipative, puncture-resistant, waterproof and slip-resistance features vary by product.

Metal-Free Footwear

Some Reebok Work models that use composite XTR® toe caps are specified as 100% non-metallic. Metal-free construction should always be confirmed from the individual product specification because other footwear components can vary by model.
